Sudheer Babu (Telugu: సుధీర్ బాబు) (born Sudheer Babu Posani on May 11, 1977), is an Indian film actor and former professional Badminton player. He primarily works in Telugu Film Industry. Sudheer made his debut as hero in Telugu Film Industry with the movie SMS (Shiva Manasulo Sruthi). He is the brother-in-law of Telugu actor Mahesh Babu.
Early life and Badminton Career
He was born to Posani Nageswara Rao and Posani Rani on 11 May 1977 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He has an elder sister Karuna. He did his schooling in Vijayawada in Siddartha public school and got graduated from Maharishi Institute of Management, Hyderabad. Later he generated interest in badminton and took it professionally with a lot of playing he showed his timbre which got him many accolades. Starting with the National School Games runner up and also was a Junior Badminton World Cup probable. He became determined to work a lot harder and eventually achieved the ranking as Andhra Pradesh No.1 player and also Karnataka No.1 player. He also played alongside with Pullela Gopichand as a doubles partner.
Personal life
Sudheer got married to Priyadarshini, the youngest daughter of Telugu actor Krishna in the year 2006. The couple have two children named Charith Maanas and Darshan.
Film career
Sudheer began his acting career with the film Ye Maaya Chesave which was directed by Gautham Menon. The film was produced by his sister-in-law Manjula Ghattamaneni. In the film, he played the role of Samantha's brother. Sudheer made his debut in a leading role with the film SMS (Shiva Manasulo Shruti) directed by Bheemli Kabadi Jattu fame Tatineni Satya. The film was released on 10 February 2012 It was produced by Vikram Raju under the Super Good Films banner.. Actress Regina Cassandra who also made her debut with this film was paired with sudheer. The film was a remake of 2009 Tamil film Siva Manasula Sakthi.His performance in the film was well received and he was praised for his dances in the film.
